On this date: Anne Russell

He was called "master of innovation," "the master evangelist of the digital age." Then sadly on October 5th, 2011, Steve Jobs passed away due to respiratory arrest. Co-founder, chairman, and CEO of one of the fastest growing corporations, many people were inevitably touched by his creativity and innovations. The overwhelming amount of iPhone users in our school and elsewhere are proof of his vast influence. People love technology and he gave the people what they wanted.

He also inspired people to reach for the stars and to never give up on their dreams. He showed them that anything can happen if you truly set your mind to it and follow through on your ambition.

Apple has a website dedicated to his remembrance where people can pay their respects to him and his family. It is touching to see how people take time to thank him and pay condolences to his family when they didn't know him personally.

His legacy is in Apple itself. It continues to expand and evolve, as seen through the new iPhone 6. Our society will never forget Steve Jobs and his world-renowned contributions to technology.
