On This Date-Leah Noble
On October 10, 1959, Pan American World Airways announced the beginning of the first global airline service. This had a huge impact on the world, especially in the years to come. People were now able to travel around the world much faster and more easily than ever before. It made accessibility to places that people had only heard about and seen in pictures much greater. Today, this ability to go halfway around the world in less than a day is often taken for granted. But looking back to before this kind of travel existed, I think we appreciate it and see it as a great asset in that we have access to experience places and cultures that we would otherwise probably not even think about in our day to day lives. All in all, I think that the idea of the first global airline service in 1959 sparked something that exponentially grew into an amazing service we heavily rely on today, over 50 years later.

On This Date: Amelia Rogers
On October 7, 1971, Disney World opened in Orlando, Florida.
Although this event was not a world-changing, life-altering event for most
people, the magic of Disney World is what makes this event something special. Even
though Walt Disney passed away before the construction on Disney World began,
his vision for “the most wonderful place in the world” came true on that day.
Whether you love Disney World or hate it, you can’t deny the beauty of a place
where children’s dreams come true. I have been to Disney World three times, and
the memories that I have of meeting the princesses and seeing my favorite
characters in real life will always be with me. Every single day, children and
adults alike enter a world that is all its own, full of surprises and
imagination. Nowhere else on earth holds that magical power. Nowhere else is
Disney World.
No, it’s not a perfect place. But for 43 years, it’s been pretty
close.

On this Date- Will Mathews
On October fifth 1962, the Beatles released their first
record “Love Me Do” the historical significance in this that the Beatles
changed the music industry, they were something completely new, and unseen
before, they iconized rock and roll and shaped it into what it is today. If they
had never produced that record and this day had never happened who knows what
kind of music we would be listening to today, or for that matter what the world
was like, who knows who was listening to the Beatles when they made a discovery
or met someone important. Countless numbers of people probably met husbands and
wives at Beatles concerts, so many humans owe their existence to the Beatles. I
greatly appreciate this event because I personally love the Beatles they are
one of my favorite things to listen when ever, I also love the other types of
music they inspired.

Prompt one- what is your ideal friend, if you could
perfectly sculpt them.
Prompt two- if you could live anywhere in the world no
matter the cost or any things like that, where would it be.
Prompt three-if you could only listen to one song for the
rest of your life what would it be and why.
Prompt two response- if I could live anywhere in the world I
would choose to have a large homestead in Montana, because I love nature and
wildlife, its where I feel free and relaxed because it’s a place where you ca
get away from the real world. I also love winter and snow so a place where you
are snowed in sounds amazing you can just relax and spend time with the people
that you love. So that’s why I would live out in the middle of nowhere, with a large
amount of land and good company.

On September 30th, 1946, 22 Nazi leaders were found guilty of war crimes at Nuremburg. This was a very landmark day because although Hitler had already committed suicide before he could be tried for the events of the Holocaust, his colleagues were tried at Nuremburg and punished severely for all of the gore, turmoil, sorrow, and fear they played a part in causing at this time.
This day was extremely important because it was bringing justice to destructive and villainous people who caused so much horror and heartache for the world. This event does not particularly pertain to me because I am not Jewish, nor is anyone down my family line, but it did financially affect my grandparents and their families due to war costs and family members leaving for war, so their mothers had to go to work to provide at least one income for the family while their father was gone. It had a huge effect to the world and more specifically the Jewish community because it finally brought peace to them because they no longer had to live in fear that their lives could be taken at any moment because of their ethnicity, religion, and heritage.

1. Ebola being created by the United States, companies hiding the cure to cancer in order to keep making money, the Sandy Hook shooting not real?? All of these are conspiracy theories. What do you think about conspiracy theories? Real or not real? Plausible?
2. If you could have any job in the whole world what would it be? (Pretend you're in a world where any cost, location, schooling, etc. necessary would be do-able)
3. If you could be any item on the Taco Bell menu what would you be? Why?
I hate conspiracy theories. They're almost always stupid and created to get a rise out of people. I am going to address the 3 listed above:
Ebola created by the United States: This theory exists because people believe that the US government is using Ebola to control the population size of the country. IF the US government was trying to do this why would they use a disease the could potentially wipe out the entire United States population. You can't run a country if all your citizens are dead.
Hiding the cure: Yes, medical companies make billions of dollars in the industry of finding the cure to cancer. But image if you found it and patented it. Imagine if you could SELL THE CURE TO ONE OF THIS COUNTRY'S BIGGEST KILLERS. You would make an unfathomable amount of money and also be looked at as God probably.

1. What activities do you find most entertaining for you in your free time? Why do you enjoy these activities?

Since I was only 4 years old, I have always played soccer. I fell in love with it from day one, and to this day it is definitely my favorite sport. I am currently a part of the Henry Clay boys soccer team, which is definitely a huge part of my life. It takes up a vast majority of my free time, whether it be a practice, game, or even a team meal. My entire life I have always hated sitting still, and soccer was the one sport where I was always on my feet and moving around. I tried baseball, but I was never able to concentrate just sitting in the dugout or standing around in the field. When I was on the soccer field, I was always moving; I never had to sit still. This is the primary reason why soccer is without a doubt my favorite sport.
