Horray for Hollywood - Julia Wilson

I watched 2 action movies that take place in a Dystopian society. The first was The Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games there are 12 "districts" that are governed by The Capitol. Every year each district must send one male and female "tribute" to The Hunger Games, which is a fight to the death until one tribute becomes victorious.  The second film I watched was Divergent. The world of Divergent is divided into 5 factions, each dedicated to a certain trait (intelligence, bravery, honesty, selflessness, kindness). At age 16, children in the world take an aptitude test that tells him which faction they should initiate into to become a full member. There are multiple similarities between these 2 movies. First is that they both have a heroic female protagonist; Katniss Everdeen in THG and Tris Prior in Divergent. They also have worlds that are divided into groups based on certain characteristics. They both are full of action and challenges as Katniss fights against the other tributes and Tris fights against her fellow initiates. They both also have the theme of rebelling against a higher power, as Katniss manipulates the games to anger The Capitol and Tris rebels against her faction leaders.

  1. you must expand your vision - you are way more interesting than these movies. They are fun mind you but as someone that wants to end up in the industry pretty please widen your lens.
