Flying Turkeys - Emily Cashman

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday hands down. Every year my mom's entire side of the family comes to town and we all head over to my grandparent's house. We definitely fit the stereotype of a lot of people gathered around a nicely decorated table with way too much food. My dad and two uncles go out in the backyard each year a fry up a turkey as well as some chicken fingers, snickers, and twinkies; all of which are delicious and most certainly nutritious. My younger cousin get the turkey legs all to himself and always devours them. After a lengthy meal we all relax in the family room and watch Christmas Vacation. The entire family, including 7 and 11 year old cousins watch the movie. We can recite just about every line and still laugh at all the jokes even though we've seen it at least 15 times. At about this time during the evening my grandfather never fails to fall asleep in his chair by the fire and softly snore through the rest of the movie. I really do love this holiday.
