Flying Turkeys- Kaitlyn Nunnelley

My family's Thanksgiving definitely looks like the stereotypical Thanksgiving. My cousins from Missouri drive in for the break and we eat at my grandmother's house. We have that nicely decorated table with a large turkey and a ridiculous amount of extra food. My grandma always cooks a turkey, her famous mashed potatoes, cole slaw, stuffing, sweet potato casserole (my favorite), and a slew of other fattening foods. We usually have left overs for days so we never have to make new food. After we eat we usually sit around the fire and play board games.
We usually also do a Thanksgiving at my dad's mom's house, but this year she and my other cousins went to Florida for break so we didn't celebrate with them. But when we do it's great fun. We have yet another stereotypical Thanksgiving with turkey, ham, mac and cheese, green beans, and potatoes and more.
This time of year is my favorite because it's so warm and loving and friendly.
