Changes-Noah Welch

A proposition for the revitalization of the American school system

As it is well known to all Americans, the American school system is outstanding.  However with all great things, improvements can be made to promote growth, development and change. I propose by following these easy tasks our nation’s students will become great.

I propose that schools enforce mandatory tests and grade checks once a week.  Students waste their time completing extra-curricular activities and sleeping when they could study and prepare for tests. These tests will contain information of a plethora of different subjects that will all be useful in the future of each and every student.  Mandatory grade checks will help relax students as they know that they have to discuss grades with their teachers and counselors.  Mandatory checks will be extremely important for the future of the students.  It might help or hurt their chances for getting into college. Grade checks, of course, will promote a peaceful learning environment where students go to school to promote their own growth and learning capabilities.

I also propose that teachers triple the amount of homework that they give to the students. This will help promote a sense of honesty and industry in the school. We can observe this industry in The Academy. These hardworking, talented, industrious students always complete their homework on time, excel at working as a team, and promote a spirit of community and sharing.

As everyone knows the world is becoming a more competitive place and jobs are becoming harder to obtain. However, if we follow my simple proposal we will help increase the potential of our young students.
