Changes- Zachary Whitehouse
One thing that really bothers me is the adoration for silly and talentless boy bands or any kind of pop singer just because they are ssimply "hot" or "handsome" or "beautiful" or "sexy". How about judging and listening to music based on talent? To fix this problem i propose having a massive singing competition at the beginning of each year for the new aspiring artists . Of the millions of singers and bands that come to this competition, only the top 200 singers/bands from each genre will be allowed to put music on the market and on radios and phones and albums. The judges to this competition will not be the poorly artisticly educated public, but instead by the number 1 finisher of each genre in the very first competition (that competition will be judged by retired stars). The judges will be blind folded when judging so an artist can not when solely on looks. Once a artist finishes in the top 200 for their genre they will not have to ever compete in the competition again. You can compete as kmany times as you want till you finish in the top 200 of a competition. all possession and distribution music that did not make the cut from the competition will be illegal and the possession/distribution consequences will range from fines to time in jail, prison and possible removal from the states to Siberia. The consequences will be heftier for teens as they are the future of America and the future will not be bright if we have a bunch of teenage girls listening to and having their thoughts twisted by the trash that is One Direction etc. This change in the music industry will result in a more mentally stable America, a population with the highest IQ scores ever rrecorded better music, less arguments over musical talent, and a brighter future for the otherwise spiraling country due to poor music tastes.
