Overcrowding of schools is becoming an increasingly prevalent problem in our society today.  Hallways are packed with hordes of students, violently moving from class to class, shoving anyone or anything that gets in their way.  Hallways are an absolute madhouse, and the teachers and hall monitor accomplish nothing.  The sheer numbers of students is no match for the few authorities that attempt to keep order in school.  I feel that a perfect solution for this problem would to provide our hallway authorities with firearms that could be used any time on students that are being disruptive.  This would completely eliminate the problem, whereas a detention would do nothing more than delay the issue.  Elimination of a student using one of these firearms would not be considered a crime, as it is protection for the other students.  The disrespect shows by these hallway hooligans would be eliminated completely.  Finally, this would save parents from having to deal with these obnoxious students at home.  This solution is very effective, and should be implemented immediately.
