Flying Turkeys - Julia Wilson

My Thanksgiving has gone the same way every year that I can remember. We drive up to Mokena, Illinois (a small town on the outskirts of Chicago) on the Tuesday before thanksgiving. We stay with my dad's mom. Wednesday we do some grocery shopping and that night always have dinner and hang out with my cousins who live a couple blocks away. Thanksgiving Day is spent all day at my grandma's house, lounging around watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and a boatload of football. Around 5 is when dinner's ready and my family, my grandma, and my cousin's all eat together. After dinner is when we eat pie and watch Friends which is always on every year. The day after Thanksgiving we drive to Lake Zurich, Illinois for the day and spend time at my uncle's house with my mom's side of the family. I kid you not this is literally the exact same routine every year and I love it.
